[00:00:02] - Learn how to load and unload Brady labels and ink cartridges correctly, as well as steps to set up your BradyJet J7300 Color Label Printer.
[00:00:13] - Everything you need comes with the printer, including an access code to Brady Workstation.
[00:00:18] - Find Brady Workstation on your local Brady website.
[00:00:21] - Always leave your printer plugged in.
[00:00:23] - The printer performs ink cartridge maintenance in the background to ensure performance.
[00:00:28] - Store unopened ink cartridges in their original box, standing upright.
[00:00:33] - When you power on your printer for the first time, follow the easy setup wizard.
[00:00:38] - You can modify these options later in the printer settings.
[00:00:41] - To install new ink cartridges, first remove the protective tape.
[00:00:46] - Be careful not to touch the printhead.
[00:00:49] - Always match the number on the top of the cartridge to the number on the slot.
[00:00:54] - Press the yellow tabs to open and slide the cartridge in the top channel all the way.
[00:00:59] - Push the ink cartridge cover down until it clicks.
[00:01:02] - With new ink cartridges, you'll be prompted to run the alignment tool.
[00:01:07] - Use the included alignment roll or any continuous label material 2.9 inches or wider.
[00:01:14] - To remove ink cartridges, press down on the yellow tabs and slide the cartridge out.
[00:01:20] - Make sure to dispose of used ink cartridges in accordance with your region's disposal regulations.
[00:01:25] - To load label material into your printer, remove any foam packaging and tape from your printer and from your label roll.
[00:01:32] - Make sure the handles rotate freely on the label roll.
[00:01:35] - If not, call Brady Tech Support for assistance.
[00:01:39] - Open the label cover of your J7300.
[00:01:43] - Find the Brady LabelSense chip on your label roll and align it with the sensor on the printer.
[00:01:48] - Using the handles, lower the label roll into the printer.
[00:01:51] - Bring the edge of the label up to the label guide.
[00:01:55] - With the label against the right side of the opening, pinch and drag the guide to the other edge of the label.
[00:02:01] - It should be very close, but not touching.
[00:02:04] - Feed the label into the printer until it stops.
[00:02:07] - The printer will automatically take the label from there.
[00:02:10] - Double check the label guide's position and adjust if needed.
[00:02:13] - Close the label cover before printing.
[00:02:16] - To unload label rolls, always press the Unload button on the printer screen.
[00:02:21] - This ensures safe removal and prevents damage to the printer components.
[00:02:25] - For the best possible printing experience, we recommend installing the Brady Print Utility and Optimized Windows Driver.
[00:02:33] - They allow you to track printer health, material usage, and print from third party software.
[00:02:39] - You can find installation instructions for these programs, as well as printer firmware updates, on the J7300 Support Page.
