Case Study: Sabanto
Brady labels withstand the toughest agricultural conditions.
From Prototyping to Production
The partnership began in 2020 during Sabanto’s early development phases. They first started using the portable BMP41 printer, which worked for initial prototyping. As Sabanto scaled up, so did their need for faster, more robust label printing.
Today, Sabanto utilizes the i5300 600DPI Industrial Label Printer for all electronic-based development. The printer provides the labels for all electronic-based development and production labeling, including:
- B33-5-435 Metallized Glossy Polyester Labels for labeling smaller devices exposed to outdoor conditions
- B33-155-490 Cryogenic Matte Polyester Labels for serializing all printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- B33-56-427 Self-Laminating Vinyl Wrap Around Labels for labeling connectors on electrical harnesses
- B33-18-8591 / B33-18-8591-WT for labeling primary devices with the highest environmental exposure
Field-Proven Durability
The true testament to Brady’s quality isn't found in the lab, but in harsh field environments. Sabanto recently evaluated a tractor component that had been exposed to the Texas elements for two years, 24/7.
The part, made of black anodized aluminum, featured a Brady B-8591 label. After two years of relentless sun and weather, the anodized aluminum had faded significantly, nearly returning to the raw-metal state.
However, the Brady B-8591 label still looked brand new against the faded metal. In fact, if you peeled the label back, the metal underneath would still be the original deep black, perfectly preserved by the label’s protection. The label itself remained scannable The label’s durability, tested by extreme conditions, ensured that the barcodes could still be scanned and all information was still legible.
