Parts Database Update for BradySoft/Codesoft The following parts have been added to BRADYSOFT & CODESOFT software and may require minor margin adjustments to properly register text and graphics on the label. THT-88 THT-249 THT-251 THT-252 THT-253 THT-254 THT-256 THT-257 THT-258 Label Parts for Brady BMP53 printer Label Parts for Brady BBP33 printer Label Parts for Brady BMP41 printer These instructions are for you to update your BRADYSOFT and CODESOFT label parts database (File / Page Setup) to include new label parts. A. If using an IP Printer, you will need to Save your Pre-Existing Parts created from the RFID tag on the Brady labels, read by the printer’s RFID receiver and uploaded to Codesoft when used by your system in the past. If using an IP Printer, follow the instructions in Section D at the bottom. If using any other printer, go directly to Section B below. B. Replace your old Brady.LFM file with the new Brady.LFM file. 1. Close your Bradysoft and / or Codesoft application. 2. Download and unzip the Codesoft_Label_Parts Update file on this page. 3. Copy your new Brady.LFM file to the correct location for your PC’s Operating System as shown in section C below. 4. Click Yes when prompted to replace the existing file. 5. Open BRADYSOFT or CODESOFT. 6. Select File / Page Setup. Click the Stock tab. The parts updates should now be available. C. Location for the Brady.LFM file, depending on your PC’s Operating System version: • BRADYSOFT 8.5 / CODESOFT 8.5: Windows XP, Vista, 2003, Windows 7 32 Bit o File Path: C:\Program Files\TKI\8\Common\LFM • BRADYSOFT 8.5 / CODESOFT 8.5: Windows 7 64 Bit o File Path: C:Program Files(x86)TKI8CommonLFM. • CODESOFT 9 & 10 File Paths: o Windows XP or 2003: C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\Teklynx\CODESOFT [9 or 10]\LFM o Windows Vista: C: \ProgramData\Teklynx\CODESOFT [9 or 10]\LFM o Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\Teklynx\Codesoft [9 or 10]\LFM o Windows Server 2008: C:\ProgramData\Teklynx\CODESOFT [9 or 10]\LFM D. IP Printer Users: Copy pre-existing parts into the new LFM file you downloaded: 1. On your PC, navigate to the new Brady.LFM file you downloaded and choose Open. 2. Choose “Select the program from a list”, then click OK. This message may vary depending on your operation system. 3. In the Open With dialog box, choose Notepad, then click OK. 4. Scroll down the list to [BRADY IP]. 5. Highlight all of the information below the title (do not highlight [BRADY IP]). 6. Right-click and select Copy. 7. Close the Brady.lfm file. 8. Using Notepad, open the new Brady.lfm file you downloaded from bradyid.com. 9. Scroll down the list to [BRADY IP]. 10. Place your cursor on the line directly below [BRADY IP], right-click the mouse and select Paste. The information you previously copied will be pasted into the file. 11. Save the file 12. Put the file in the appropriate location shown in Section C above, Yes you want to overwrite the existing file.
