Marine Sorbent and Oil Booms

Brady's SPC Marine Specialty absorbents include containment and sorbent oil booms, sweeps, absorbent pillows, oil nets and drag nets. Oil containment booms are used as a cost-effective solution for containment of oil spills on water. The oil boom can also be used as a barrier at sewage treatment plants and holding ponds to retain waste and debris over extended periods of time. Oil absorbent booms, oil nets and drag nets float in water and entrap heavy oil that contacts the plastic tentacles. Oil Nets are suitable for reuse after draining or dousing with #1 or #2 weight oils. Extracted oil can be recycled or downgraded as fuel oil. Drag Nets consist of 30 oil nets attached to a 50' poly rope for recovery of heavy oil from water. Used as a sweep between two boats, or deployed along a shoreline.
